So did you get a place near clifton, it's pretty nice there, plenty of Norwegians, I am from Houston, so yea, the cold I like, the mountains I love, the fjords are incredible, but I was not ready for this rain.

Its in the town of Cranfills Gap with only 360 people, its 25 min from Clifton.
And I love it there, people are so great and helpful
And many towns around is like the ones you see in the old Western movies
We passed by Houston this summer, we were a week at Galveston island.
But I will go there one day an visit the Norwegian seaman church.
I suppose you have been there?
I will go back in the middle of January and stay for 6 weeks.
I am curios about how warm it is in the winter are over there ?
Sounds like a really nice town! It's a little bit colder up there compared to anything along the gulf. It will probobly freeze a couple time but only for a couple days. It can also freeze over night, but then the sun comes out and it can warm up to 10 or even 15 which is really nice. It's dry too, so it doesn't feel as cold as it does here in Bergen.
the Seaman church is nice, it's pretty funny, cause it's a very scandinavian building, pretty nice, but not in the best part of town, lots of refineries. I think they had some dammage from Ike.
Enjoy yourself, my wife and I are going to for Chrismas, and are looking forward to it.
