Yes I am back from Stavanger trip ;-) Has take down Poland next 2 cars from Norway to fix. If the owners agree to put pictures on internet then I will put work progress here ;-)

Back to topic...
Here are next pictures, why You have to sand Your car. Sometime it is not visible, but after sanding You will see next places to fix. Sand while hitting metal in some places make holes (where metal was thin like paper) - If You do not fix these areas then You will get bubbles soon ;-) I was thinking keep deck lid filler panel, but after sanding - it shows that is thin like paper in some places (black holes) so it need to be replaced too.
The same at roof - we have to fix it there ;-) not so easy job on this car... ;-)

Another week of cutting....
This cutting work do not have end.... where You touch - there You have to cut.... what a nightmare. #-o
I have decided to keep oryginal panel with stamped numbers, and oryginal shock towers, but it will be more work to kep it than cut completty front clip, and build it from begining. :D

Good tip what I get from Geir, is to use a welding primer when and where possible. So we spray every bare metal with primer. Later some wax will be sprayed here....

In this car rear framerails and torque boxes are in perfect condition. We just weld around factory mounting, and make it little bit stronger in a places, where car will be soon pushed by rear end ;-)

He is going to keep it factory, as much as possible. Next Mustang project, waiting in queue, will be some crazy Norwegian Eleanor, with SVT engine (The strongest factory Cobra engine).

Soon it will be like this ;-) now only test feeting. I has bought the best, made by Dynacorn panels, but it does not feet like always.... lot of hummer work to do ;-)

Hello, no I am not affraid. When You build back of a Mustang there it is easy job, when do not replacing framerails. The car is sitting on stands, holding it by rockers. Before ewery small weld all is checking and measure (angles and diagonals) after fiew (holding) welding points it is checking with measure again... and at the end it have to be perfect. We have also the same body waiting for works, and do compare in important points too.
The biggest worry about twisting I have at the front. We will replace complette frame rails, radiator support, etc.... that's why we weld fiew crossing struts at the front, to keep factory positions. At the front it will be more measuring and levelling than welding ;-)
